Frequently Asked Questions

The two most common sizes are a 6” and 8” round. A 6” feeds about 8-10 and the 8” feeds about 12-15. 

The more notice the better! We recommend about two weeks for custom cakes and cupcakes. If you’re unsure please reach out to custom@lukescustomcakes.com

As the majority of our cakes do not require refrigeration, we do recommend it. This is to ensure your cake doesn't melt in the warmer months and make the cake more sturdy.

Remove the cake from the refrigerator about 1 hour before you serve it.

If you do not have room in the refrigerator, you can place the cake on a flat surface away from any sunlight or extra heat.

Unfortunately, we cannot promise that we will send you a picture of the cake. We do our best to take a picture of most orders, however due to the demand- stopping to take a picture and sending them only slows down production.

The majority of our cakes are priced on an individual basis, we will work with you to figure out what will work best for your budget. 

Please be patient as we do our best to respond in a timely manner. Typically we try to get back to you with 48 hours

Unfortunately we do not offer vegan or gluten free options at this time. 

As of now we do not offer local delivery besides Oxford, OH to Miami University. We do offer delivery and set up for weddings.

We order supplies, start custom pieces, and prep ingredients etc as soon as the order is placed. Therefore we need as much lead time as possible to move or cancel an order. Refunds will be given along the following guidelines:

More than 7 days before the date due: 100% refund or store credit

Between 4 and 6 days before the date due: 50% refund or store credit

3 days or less before the date due: 0% refund as the order is in progress.

*All requested refunds will have a 5% service fee withheld.*
